Today is my birthday and it’s just getting started but I already have a feeling like it’s going to be one of the best I’ve had. I have much more confidence this year and even if crap happens today, I can reflect on the fact that I’ve done a lot of courageous stuff in my life since my last birthday.
I had been a bit sad that I couldn’t have any birthday cake. Before surgery I thought about celebrating my half birthday then I felt a little dumb. What’s funny is, all I want today is black cherry sugar free jello with lite cool whip. No candle though.
I’m doing stuff for myself with all the birthday money that I’ve received. I know that sounds odd to say, but for years I’ve spent that money on buying Christmas gifts. One thing I’m getting for me will be a surprise that people can see at Christmas (if I last that long before blurting it out). The other is actually happening next week when my dermatologist is removing my nasty skin tags that are on my neck. Insurance doesn’t pay so he’s cutting me a deal to remove I think 15 for $100. I’m excited!
Well, I need to get going. Oh, I’m 28 today. It’s funny, a lot of people at the Tulsa party thought I was 19-22!
