The voices in my head made me make this recipe so I could keep them both happy. One wanted BBQ burgers, the other wanted meatloaf. No, I do not have multiple personality disorder. I was simply trying to make a decision on what to make for dinner. It turned out pretty tasty!
I started with a a basic BBQ meatloaf recipe. For those who don’t have one they like, this is what I do:
(Sorry, I don’t measure much…all of the ingredients are “until it looks to be enough” unless otherwise noted)
For every pound of ground beef I add:
-Garlic powder
-Dried minced onion
-Pepper
-Worcestshire sauce
-BBQ sauce (instead of ketchup)
-1 egg
-1/2 cup of oats (I think I should have added more to help the burgers stay together better…or maybe more egg?)
Mix well and shape into patties. Prepare the patties like you normally would (fry or grill. We prefer the George Foreman)
