Melodic Bread, recently invited me to participate in a series about Christmas memories. I have so many Christmas memories that it was hard to pick just one! So, I went with three rather unique ones in the blog. (Read the blog I wrote on Melodic Bread by clicking here)
My memories don’t stop there, however. I remember going to grandma’s house on the 23rd and spending the night and all day the 24th over there then spending the 25th with my mom’s side of the family. I remember my mom’s brisket (which she still makes) every Christmas. My aunt Jimmie’s fudge pretty much makes it Christmas. When I was a little kid, we did the Advent Calendar.
This Christmas that just passed was filled with many new memories that I will always cherish. We have new kids in our family with my 20-month old nieces and 2-month old nephew. We also have what I think is going to be a new tradition in the family where we spend the 24th with immediate family (my parents, husband, brother, sister-in-law, the nieces/nephew) and each make our own individual pizza. That’s so much fun! It’s a great way to be creative and have food that isn’t the normal “Christmas food.”
