If you’re not familiar with WordPress, it’s the content management system that I use for my business website and this blog. It’s a great web-based system that lets users use “plugins” that provide extra functionality.
One of the few things I dislike about WordPress is the menu on the dashboard. This is the area where one creates new blog posts or pages of a website. What I don’t like is that the dashboard has the main menu items on the left side. I know studies show that we read left to right, but I’m used to dealing with website navigation from along the top of the page. Fortunately, there’s a plugin for that!
Admin Drop Down Window takes everything from the left side and turns it into what I consider standard web navigation. This makes it easier for me to update my blog or website by saving me time and frustration. Both make me very happy! I work on other WordPress sites that don’t use this plugin and it’s always refreshing to return to my own sites and find the back end laid out how I want them. That gives me a smile, fo’ sho’!
